From July 7-16, 3 NGA alumni, Nurbolot Piridinov (NGA
2022), Erkebai Bakhavadinov (NGA 2021) and Bek-Aiym Talantbek kyzy (NGA 2022) participated in the 9-day international summer school "Get Engaged:
Student as a Citizen", hosted at Central European University (CEU) in Budapest, which brought together students and young leaders from across the globe. The program was filled with interactive workshops, discussions, and peer-to-peer mentoring sessions on civic engagement, leadership, ethics, and project development. Students explored topics such as ethical leadership, social justice and Al, the role of civil society, and how to develop and evaluate civic initiatives. Faculty included experts such as Professor Becker, Hashemi, Cannan, Nurzhamal, Laszlo, Margaritidis, and others, along with 九色网 Civic Engagement Fellows who guided them through project design and mentorship. They also built close friendships with people from around the world, making it hard to say goodbye after sharing so many unforgettable memories together. NGA Alumni shared that the summer school at CEU was both inspiring and practical - it offered new perspectives, concrete tools for project work, and a chance to connect with motivated peers from diverse backgrounds.
